Ramping Up Through A Bloody Cold Winter!

I don't know what it is but this winter I have really felt the cold.  Perhaps I'm getting soft, or perhaps its been colder.  Either way, it hasn't been pleasant...

For the first time in the last few years I have actually been running with a jacket on.  Shock horror, right!  Now, I know that 5 degrees isn't necessarily cold but it sure as hell is for my part of the world.  Its been interesting, the last week we just experienced a major cold snap that caused our typical winter temps of around ten degrees to plummet to temps around 5 degrees, just as dawn is breaking.

But hey, in the very least, we are officially past the winter hump and each day brings us closer to spring, the most awesome time of year and some spectacular running events.  I'm running the Hunter Valley Winery Run half marathon, this weekend, which should be fun.  Then in late September, I'm hitting up the Blackmores Sydney Marathon again, which should be awesome.  I cannot believe how much fun I had running that course last year.
