Stress Fracture Recovery - Week 3


After two weeks of complete rest I was itching for a walk and thankfully this week I was allowed to start.

Tuesday morning I was up early for the gym and home by 6:30am for my little walk.  I'm only allowed to walk 1km but hey, it's better than nothing!  I left my house and headed very slowly for the lake.  My foot was feeling pretty weird but no pain so I guess this is good.  The return trip home also felt fine.

Across the week I increased each walk by 500m to finish Sunday with a 2.5km walk.  Still feeling good so I think things must be heading the right direction.

I totalled 8.5km for the week, which is a bit short of the 85km a week I was running but it's a start!
